SEEK A WARRIOR’S MINDSET

Sophisticated Weaponry

1. SOPHISTICATED WEAPONRY

Life can be unpredictable. There will be unexpected things that happen that knock you on your feet! Those challenges can easily derail you.

You know what I’m talking about. The setbacks, the failures, and the betrayal.

I’ve had several of those in my personal and professional life.

They rattle you so hard that sometimes you want to give up. And sometimes they hurt so bad, you want to die!

But I am here to tell you, NOT to tap out!

Starting today, become a warrior and keep the enemy off-balance.

Know when to STRIKE boldly!

Make no mistake, you will experience a major setback in  life or business. When this happens, what will you do?

Depending on the situation…

Will you know how to exploit aggressively if you need to fight back?

Or will you generate mental combat power to push yourself to the limits of exhaustion?

I ask these questions because as a woman, you have to be prepared. Someone can physically assault you or when you are building your business, you will have to burn the midnight oil.

Now, I’m not here to scare you but I am here to prepare you for the inevitable.

Have weapons in your arsenal that will give you,

  • energy
  • clarity
  • motivation

to withstand this pain. Sometimes the pain is so intense it will consume your self-esteem and what you believe about yourself.

Because of what has happened to you, you will lose sleep, and your appetite will be affected.

These unpredictable stressors are magnified for women entrepreneurs.

Why? Well, because they rely on their energy, creativity, and passion to keep going.

Being an entrepreneur is without a doubt one of the most challenging endeavors you will ever experience.

You will experience a roller coaster of emotions that could affect your mental, emotional, and physical stability.

When this happens, “What will you do?”

“If you want your business and personal life to thrive you have to become a warrior and not a worrier.”

Based on my experience, being a worrier reinforces a fixed mentality, and as an entrepreneur the last you need to do is limit yourself with this type of mindset.

Worriers tend to

  • overthink
  • overstress
  • over-analyze

And this type of behavior impedes progress.

Women entrepreneurs need to be careful of this habitual behavior because it can turn toxic.

Worriers deplete their

energy

productivity

happiness

Whereas, Warriors

self-motivate

mass produce

experience more joy

There is a big difference, which will you choose?

And a warrior has the right temperament to cope with “uncertainty” and this mindset helps you survive and thrive.

Will you be a warrior or will you be a worrier?

2. SELF-DISCIPLINE IS YOUR SECRET WEAPON

A keystone habit that will transform your life is self-discipline.

Self-discipline is your secret weapon but right now it’s lying dormant.

You don’t know how to strengthen self-discipline because nobody really shows us how.

And I get it, self-discipline is a bit challenging for entrepreneurs because most of them are creative and multi-dimensional.

This means that they are talented in different areas, and their inability to focus on one skill-set, makes them indecisive.

Before they know it, analysis paralysis plagues them, and this stifles their progress.

Their natural tendency will be to quit or continue working on too many tasks that have no return on investment.

Has this happened to you?

You don’t know exactly what you should be working on that will help your life and business move forward.

This is why Marines are the best!

They are fierce when it comes to self-discipline.

Yes, I’m a bit biased, can you blame me?

As a retired Marine Officer, and entrepreneur I can tell you that this high-caliber habit is your keystone habit.

It will make you stand out from your competition.

Marines know what mission needs to be accomplished.

  • They set their sights on one target and are fixated on reaching their objective.
  • Or taking out their objective.
  • They execute regardless of tough conditions, and get comfortable with uncomfortable situations.

You must do the same. Learn to harness this crucial habit, and have fierce focus.

According to Brian Tracy, “Discipline is the iron quality of character.”

Make no mistake, as women entrepreneurs, you will come face to face with strenuous challenges, and tough obstacles.

You will be required to take bigger risks.

My recommendation is to start small and practice self-regulation.

Start with how you will direct your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Remind yourself, “Who is in control?”

As you take control of your day be mindful of distractions, procrastination, and temptation.

I’m not here to sugarcoat anything, it will be hard especially in the beginning.

But you want more from life, do you not?

A great question to ask yourself is, “Will this build me up or will it break me down?”

These are powerful questions that help me stay in the fight. Strengthen your self-discipline everyday. Continue to work even though you may be tired.

3. STRATEGIC APPLICATION

Be strategic and apply a routine. When you apply a routine you become strategic with your approach.

You are a woman entrepreneur, do not leave your growth to randomness.

Brendon Burchard said it best, “If you leave your growth to randomness, you’ll always live in the land of mediocrity.”

But listen, I get it, a lot of entrepreneurs think that having a system in place will crush their creativity, and that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Just so you know, life will throw you a curveball. It’s just a matter of time.

Will you be prepared?

Not having a routine or plan will create more stress and overwhelm.

You have to maximize your capabilities, and counteract should something happen.

Think about it?

Will a vague plan help you move forward with your life and business?

Life has a funny way of destroying your entrepreneurial capabilities.

Have flexibility to deal with a situation that might be too intense.

May I make a recommendation?

This is where you need to think about professional accountability. Someone who can empathize with your specific situation, and create a custom plan.

Allow me to be direct, entrepreneurship will affect your emotional, physical, and mental levels.

Will you be prepared?

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a smart strategy that will help you bounce back faster.

You need to focus on the value you create and a strategic application will help you self-motivate.

Strategic application helps you create an agenda and can simplify the process.

This ability to simplify will broaden your bandwidth and as a result, more mental power will be directed in a productive way.

This simple strategy will help you develop a warrior’s mindset.

Strategic application is a structured way of living that makes you productive, and increases your effectiveness.

This daily application is indispensable because it gives the warrior clarity.

It helps her magnify good habits and minimizes bad habits.

Here is the secret, you are too preoccupied with staying on track, and basically there is no room for procrastination, overthinking, or overwhelm.

Moreover, there is a boost in self-confidence as a result of this strategic application because you are developing a simple routine.

Your self-esteem is stronger because you are making an effort to honor your strategy, and it helps you take control.

4. SUSTAIN SETBACKS & FAILURE

Challenges in your business will hit you hard.

A warrior’s mindset helps you operate offensively because you are taking the initiative and staying abreast of what is happening.

This is the preferred form of action but you need to be prepared.

As you move forward and experience setbacks and failure,

  • Will you doubt your abilities to move forward?
  • Will you allow your negative self-talk to determine your worth?
  • Will you safeguard your positivity and develop resiliency?

A warrior’s mindset will help you build a defensive posture.

This posture will help you preserve and protect your intellectual property, your self-worth, and help you respond as a warrior and not a worrier.

Setbacks and failure can cloud your judgment when things go wrong, because we have a tendency to blame ourselves.

Sometimes our negative talk is so deeply ingrained that you don’t realize you are doing this.

A warrior’s mindset can help you dissect what went wrong and why?

It’s not about ignoring your frustration; rather, it’s about channeling those emotions so you can self-detox and move forward with focus.

This mindset is what you need so you can reflect, recharge, and readdress a different outcome so you can perform better.

Warriors use this as a stepping stone and understand that setbacks and failure are the best teachers.

5. STRONG FOUNDATION

Stress will kill ideas, wreck relationships, and defeat entrepreneurs along the way.

As an entrepreneur, you have so much going on.

A slight deviation such as a bad argument with your partner, or dealing with your children will distract your mindset.

Do you know how to deal with irate customers?

Sustaining stressful situations is key to life but a strong foundation will guide you.

Stress will affect your decision making skills and will challenge your persona.

Not having the self-discipline to sustain stress will make you a worrier, and vulnerable to shortcomings.

A warrior’s mindset helps you know and understand your weaknesses.

Why?

Well, because you’ve taken the time to develop a strong foundation. You understand who you are, and what you stand for.  Your core values are non-negotiable.

But when your foundation is unclear, it leads to stressful situations that undoubtedly lead to:

  • temptation
  • unclear goals
  • bad habits
  • lack of willpower
  • undisciplined mindset

Be prepared when this happens because unknown variables or uncertainty can strike when you least expect it.

Life is about managing the stresses of everyday life.

Will you be prepared?

Incorporate a warrior’s mindset so you can,

  • simplify
  • strategize
  • self-discipline
  • serve
  • shape
  • soar

A warrior’s mindset helps you honor the person you are at this moment. It helps you respect your strong foundation.

Be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished.

Do not allow negative influences to define you as a person.

You have so much to offer and the key is to strengthen this type of mindset so you can lead from the front.

Starting today, arm yourself with sophisticated weaponry. Sophisticated weaponry is empowering yourself through mental, physical, and emotional toughness.

“Weaponize by self-disciplining yourself, strategically applying yourself, and sustaining setbacks or difficult situations.”

Demand more of life by giving it direction.

As you practice, develop the mental skills to focus on the cure and not the disease.

Furthermore, as you persevere, be hypervigilant of the internal and external stressors that are trying to defeat you.

Recognize where you are and where you need to go.

Get help, hire a coach, or get a mentor.

Getting help is weaponizing yourself and reinforcing your self-confidence.

It’s a prerequisite and helps you establish a strong foundation.

Invest in yourself so you can persevere as a warrior and not a worrier. The return on investment will astonish you!
